Cowboy, bikers, french, with wedge, platform-soled....
no matter what the exact type of boot you will be wearing this fall is, make sure it's not higher than your calf!
Even though I've ssen some incredibly sexy overknees in some collections for this fall, to me the days of the "I am a wild catwoman and my shoes stop where my bikini zone stars" are just yesterday's stuff.
My overtheknees will definitely stay in the closet this year. What will not just stay in my closet but rather join my other shoes collection will be booties, and in all possible variations.
In the picture above, I tried to summarize all types of ancle boots that I highly recommend for this season: cowboys, platform-soiled ancle boots, french booties, bikers, military-inspired combat boots, and booties with wedges. In my opinion, this year's key lenght really is our ancle.
Should you want to play with the lenght of your boot, why not trying to wear stockings, as in the Victoria Beckham Fall 2012 collection?
However, and talking about longer boots, a pair of neat and well polished flat equestrian boots always bring a certain preppy chic touch into an outfit.
And what about your boots this season? Do you agree with my opinion on this fall's boots' trends?
This year, for my birthday (which is in two days), my boyfriend has organized a suprize trip for the two of us.
After months and months of consequent silence, the other day (less than 48 hours before our departure) he told me that I would need something to swim, something to do some sport, something chic, enough everyday city casual clothes, and some good shoes to walk all day. He then said the temperature would be between 10 and 24 degrees.
You can immagine how thrilling it was for me to pack for my mysterious holidays with him!!!
I tried to guess our destination, but .... I love surprizes! So I have not been trying to find it out until this evening, when somewhere between the check in and the boarding time I will discover where we are going to.

You’re going to
work after a quick lunch break.
You want to draw out money and you search fort he closest cash machine. You see
one, you go towards it, you put your card in it.... but the machine does not
ask you to insert your pin code, instead, it opens, and a red dressed Anna Rossinelli comes
out singing her single “See What You’ve Done“ in all her artistic, boho, young and hip mood.
But it's not just Anna
Rossinelli alone; her band is with her: two guitar players step put of the machine.
You start thinking
that the sushi you just had must have been very bad, because you definitely are in
the middle of a hallucination. And since the party has already started, the
enchanted machine decides that it is time for you to shake that sushi
boody of yours to the rythm of Anna’s voice and the two guitar guys (who seem
not to have the slightest intention to stop the music), and sends some happily
dancing crowd to complete the whole thing.
You dance, they
dance, the whole world dances, you're running late for work....but life is good.
And when the
song comes to its end, the happy people fade away, Anna and her jolly musicians get
back into the magic cash machine, and you are left with your card and your
Hereby, punctually like every season, I am sharing the last collection of my absolute favorite maison: Emilio Pucci.
The Spring Summer Collection for next year was definitely inspired by the Far East.
I have to admit that I prefered the gipsetters and the romantic lace details of the last collections (even though we saw some of that in the first part of this show).
But it does not matter at all: the delicate elegance of this designer always manages to let me breathless.
