Happy New Year, Happy New Dreams!

Happy new year!!!

Here we are: a few hours away from a brand new year. 

New Year's Eve always puts me in a melancholic mood. It is the day of the year in which you have to say goodbye to all the memories, impressions, and feelings from the old year. 

And even if there's always something yo are glad to leave behind you, there are other things that you wish to see and feel again in the new year. At the end, it's all about taking stock of your situation and realizing what were your successes as well as failures. But most of all, it's realizing what you wish will happen in the upcoming year, all the things you haven't done and still want to do, all the dreams you still wish to fulfill. 

In a way, it's like having your birthday: you realize that life is short, and that you have to make the best out of it, and live it at its deepest. Everything else is a waste of time.

So happy happy happy 2012 everyone!

Framed! - My Second Christmas Outfit

Good morning lovlies!

My last day of Christmas is gone. It was a really fun one with my parents, sisters, boyfriend, and... the new entry of the family :). You are going to see him very soon.

This one was my second outfit for Christmas. I chose to match some very chic pieces like the Zara sequined top and the black vintage looking H&M kimono, with some very basic items such as the gray denim skinnies and the black pumps (which I recicled together with the golden clutch from the outfit of the day before).

My Outfit for Christmas

This year, my Christmas celebrations are going to last three days, and for each evening there is going to be a huge dinner of course! For the first one, which I am going to have at my granny's place with every member of my family from Zurich, I am going to wear my cute silk shorts, my beloved dark green blazer, a super soft nude pink top and some matching accessories which will give more life and sparkles to the look.

At last! Holidays!

I am so happy about all the time I am going to spend at home, with my family, my boyfriend, and old good friends. Just feeling the warmth of the nest, and the joy of Christmas, namely enjoying the people you love.

New&Old Outfit

"Oh my gosh, I've been wearing this thing for so long! I want something new now!".
This is what I usually think when I look at my old clothes hanging in my closet.
But it definitely was not the attitude I had when I pulled this outfit!
 The pullover (first bought by my mom about five years ago, then handed to me, and then left in the closet for years) represents a major come-back of this season: glitters! I had to give it a second chance....
 The leather shorts (most people find them funny and call them my "Oktoberfest" shorts :)) were a sales bargain from last spring. The boots were a birthday present received two years ago.
It was a real re-discovery of my wardrobe. However, I gave it a fresher touch through the accessories: the XL red clutch bought in Autumn, my new nerdies, my new double cocktail ring, and, of course, red lips... ;*!

Magical Nights: from Africa to Europe

Nights are magical.

I was looking at pictures taken last year during my Moroccan holidays and at the same time at this picture of Zurich by night, and I thought to my self, that there is no way I could even try to choose between the two. They are both sooo beautiful and appealing with their mistery. Marrakesh in its warmth, Zurich with its coolness.

Necklaces

I always hang all my necklaces on the same spot in my closet, and everytime I looked at that blended combination of materials and colors, I thought that I really should have taken a picture of it. I've taken three different ones :).
