It's been a long time from the last time Versace moved me like this. The motives, the glittery pastel shades, the way the drapes embrace the bodies...everything reminds me of mermaids come from the sea.
As mentioned in my last post, I had a 24 hours business trip in Paris.
God, not having the time to actually visit the city hurt...but, as I was running from one corner of the city to the other, I sometimes decided to take a walk instead of taking the subway, so as to have the opportunity to take a good look to what was around me (possibly, by eating a fresh made crêpe ;)).
Paris has the cutest architectural details, and I think I understood what one of the most important key for its charm is: lampposts!
I'm not kidding! Put together a nice Parisian 19th century decorated door, a high tree and one of those lantern lampposts and you have one of the reasons why walking around Paris streets is so delightful! True word!
Anyway, it has been a pretty hard day, but the fact that I was in the city of love made me soon forget about it :)! I definitely gotta go back there again, and this time, for more than 24 hours ;P.
I wanted to show you three new purchases: all belts. I think that they can totally make the difference in an outfit. The silver one is futuristic and can be added on some chic rock'n roll outfit. The leopard print one definitely presents one of the biggest trends of the last few seasons (including the current one, of course), and I love the way it can booster the simplest all-black or all-white looks, and it can make a color-blocking combination even more interesting and daring. The patent leather skin colored one adds even more sweetness and a lady-like touch to pastels and shades of white.
Latley, I've been quite busy with work: today I'm starting a business trip and I'm going to Paris , where I will stay just one night and one day. I'm all scheduled, but I'm taking my small camera with me and I really really hope that, while running from one part of the city to another I'll be able to capture some impressions...we'll see. Anyway, work comes first, so I'm not promising anything :).
I am sure I'll be able to take a looooooooot of cool pics in Malaga (Spain) though. I'm spending my next holiday (in October) there. So get ready for that ;)!
As my B-day is coming up (nex month), I decided to treat myself with a some special present for the occasion. A few weeks ago, surfing on the internet in search for designer bags, I fell in love with the cream Marc by Marc Jacobs Classic Q Lil Ukita.
I was lucky yesterday I decided to go check out the shops in Zurich to see if they had it, because I managed to get the very last one in Grieder. And as I had already seen that on other on-line shops it was sold out too, I decided that I had to buy my present right away.
So here it is! My very first (non-vintage or recycled from my mom's closet) designer bag.
I once read an interview in which Henry Holland stated that in the little town he comes from everyone was perpexed about his way of dressing. I think we can all agree about the fact that this man has an incredible personal style, can't we? Thumbs up for all his bow ties and his colorful shirts! Love it!
